Mt. Poklon to the Island of Cres
The next day, continue on to the very popular, but still rugged Island of Cres. The journey kicks off with a long descent on the gravel roads of the Učka Nature Park all the way to the coast, followed by dirt roads.
After a short rest on the ferry from Brestova to Porozina, it is time for an island adventure. Reaching the town of Cres will take about 25 km of road cycling that features a longer ascent to the island ridge and then a longer descent to the day’s final destination.
Take a stroll in old town Cres to visit the round Venetian Tower, the Franciscan and Benedictine monasteries, the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and the Parish Church Saint Mary of the Snow, the harbor, and many other attractions. You can observe the town from a different perspective from the opposite side of the bay by taking a walk or cycling on the well-marked trail.
